Nov / Dec.' 06

Dear

The year 2006 is now coming to a close and Adrenalise also completes an important milestone. We at Adrenalin believe that Adrenalise has grown and added significant value in the year – as was evident by the many responses that we received. And as with all other forms communication, Adrenalise too has got to be better. It is in this light that this newsletter focuses on your feedback.

The past year has also seen a significant rise in Human Capital Management (HCM) related projects within companies and these projects are being viewed as strategic in driving business growth. HCM is the management of an intangible and volatile organizational asset. The asset being the collective sum of the attributes, experience, knowledge, pro-activeness, energy and enthusiasm that the organization's people choose to invest in their work.

This Nov/Dec'06 issue of Adrenalise also aims to focus on the growing importance of Human Capital Management (HCM). Organizations will necessarily have to priorities an investment in HCM for a systems approach in improving the performance of an organization.

CIPD report on the Changing HR Function :: The Key Questions
Despite a wealth of information that exists on the HR function, its role and its structure, and a vast amount of literature on the link between people management practices and organizational performance, there is little definitive evidence, which gives a clear indication of the impact of HR structure and staffing on organizational outcome or performance. In particular, questions on the extent to which it meets their particular needs and what difference it has made to HR performance, stakeholder satisfaction and HR staff aspirations, have not been answered.
